Hillel SIP SA assists students in finding valuable internship experience in San Antonio over the summer. Internships available across a range of industries, including but not limited to:

  • Accounting

  • Marketing

  • Real estate

  • Legal

  • Medical

  • Engineering

Our internship opportunities are not limited to the fields above. Hillel works to find a match for students in any industry they are interested in for their career path. 

To be eligible for Hillel's summer internship program (SIP), candidates must:

  • Must have completed at least two years of study at an accredited college or university in Texas

  • Must be entering their junior or senior year in the fall of 2023

  • Must be 23 years of age or younger

  • Must be a Jewish student or interested in becoming a part of the Jewish community

Important dates for Hillel SIP SA. In special circumstances, we are open to adjusting to accommodate your needs.

  • May 30: Mandatory orientation for Hillel SIP interns

  • May 31: Start date of Hillel SIP internship program

  • August 4: End date of Hillel SIP internship program

  • May 30-August 4: Interns will work full-time in supervised placements and participate in mandatory San Antonio immersion programming that include:

    • Professional development seminars

    • Excursions around San Antonio

    • Interactions with guest speakers and community professionals

Application Process

To apply for Hillel San Antonio's Summer internship program (SIP), please complete the online application form with your personal and contact information, as well as details about your academic and professional background. Be sure to include your resume and cover letter in the application. Additionally, you will be required to respond to essay questions on the form, which may pertain to your goals, leadership experience, and involvement in the Jewish community. Once you have submitted your application, you can expect to receive confirmation of its receipt and await further communication regarding the status of your application.

Upon review of your application for Hillel's summer internship program (SIP), you may be contacted to participate in an interview, which will be held over Zoom. After all interviews have been completed, you will be informed of the status of your application. If you are deemed eligible to move forward, you will be given access to view job descriptions and select your top three preferred internship placement sites. Your resume will then be forwarded to the corresponding employers, who will review candidates and decide who to invite for interviews. Ultimately, the hiring decision will be made by the employer, and you must receive an offer in order to participate in the SIP program.
