Student and staff leaders at Hillel are creative, collaborative, and innovative. Our student-led staff-mentored community allows students to create, develop, and execute meaningful and engaging programs that are fun and inspiring to their peers, while learning from a team of dedicated professionals who support their journeys.

Hillel's interns (Student Executive Board) represents the student voice, providing critical input to Hillel volunteers and professional leadership. It includes students who all share a commitment to Jewish life and vary in their levels and type of involvement in the Jewish community .The board will work together to generate ideas for how Hillel can better serve students and then collaborate with the Hillel professionals to make them happen.

Management Intern (President) 

Make-your-mark on Hillel by driving forward some of the most important initiatives at Hillel. The Management Intern oversees their own intern teams and determines the vision for their focus area. They also get a say in some of the big decisions about student life at Hillel San Antonio.  The Management intern is a visionary who wants to help drive forward the growth of Jewish life on campus and is at the forefront of large scale change and problem solving.

Engagement & Events Intern 

The Engagement/Events (E&E) intern will play an integral role in developing opportunities to engage students in Jewish life on campus, encouraging them to become involved as leaders and participants in student-organized Jewish programming and groups, and directing them to and facilitating their participation in Jewish-related opportunities on and off campus. A focus will be on building one-on-one relationships with Jewish students and other student organizations on campus. As a Hillel intern, you must act as a role model, create interactions with students and help with events and projects that Hillel produces.

Communications Intern
As Communications Intern  you will be responsible for assisting with marketing and advertising efforts across a number of different platforms, as well as analyzing their performance. Responsibilities related to this position include: writing, designing, and sending email marketing communications; analyzing social media performance and email marketing analytics.

Religious & Spiritual Life Intern

As the Religious and Spiritual Life Intern you will be responsible for planning and facilitating inclusive and pluralistic religious events on campus that are open to all Jews and students interested in Judaism. This will include coordinating shabbats, and organizing high holiday events. As well as planning Hillel-sponsored interfaith activities and representing Hillel in interfaith activities sponsored by other organizations or offices.

Social Justice Intern

The Social Justice Intern will help students explore the intersection of universal and individual values connected to its Jewish roots. The intern will bring  students to service and social justice opportunities, convenes like-minded organizations and student groups, and creates engaging resources for Jewish service learning and reflection.

Israel Intern

The Israel Intern will work to bring so many Israel programs and opportunities to campus. The intern will be responsible for educating students about Israel and advocating for Israel on campus and will be directly helping create positive, pro-Israel, outreach to college students. The intern will connect students to Birthright, and winter and summer internship opportunities in Israel.
